Recognition within the Legal Profession

Since 1994, the peer review rating service of Martindale-Hubbell, the premier directory of legal professionals, has awarded Bob Dowd a “Preeminent” rating of AV for very high ethical standards and a legal ability rating of 5.0 out of 5.0.  As a guide to consumers of legal services, Martindale-Hubbell states the certification of an attorney as AV Preeminent “is a significant rating accomplishment - a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.” Less than 14% of US attorneys are AV Rated.

Avvo, another attorney rating service, has assigned Bob a 10.0 out of 10.0 “Superb” rating.

For the past ten years, Bob has been selected by peer review as one of Bergen County’s Top Lawyers in the fields of commercial litigation, construction law, and/or labor and employment law by (201) Magazine or Bergen Magazine.

Bob has also been included on the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers in construction law for the past several years.

Because the Martindale-Hubbell, Avvo, (201) Magazine, Bergen Magazine and Super Lawyers ratings compare attorneys in New Jersey, the New Jersey ethics rules require the accompanying statement that no aspect of this advertisement has been approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
